Courses
General English courses
All our courses are taught by qualified teachers who want to improve your English level. When you first come to Alpha and Omega we will give you a placement test to make sure that you are at the correct level.
Included in your English course is the following:
- Free access to other courses and any Vocational courses (subject to availabilty and language abillity)
- Free course books. Please refer to terms and conditions for availability.
- Free monthly progress reports. This highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the student and how the student can improve their English.
- Free progress tests. Regular testing allows the students to see where their strengths and weaknesses are and allows the student to track their ability level.
- Free leisure activities and trips. A teacher will accompany the group to a local cultural location. (Entrance fee to some parks may be needed)
- Free personal and friendly service from one of our staff members with any welfare problems a student might have.
- Free Sky/TV access. Allowing students to catch up with the latest news, sport and entertainment.
- Free end of course certificate.
- Free faxing.
- Free Printing.
- Free Photocopying.
- Free Computer use. (To help students develop their IT skills and work on course work)
- Free one on one tutor meetings. Speak to your own personal tutor about any problems you might have with your studies or home life.
- Free internet access. Use the computers in our school free in lunch breaks and after lessons.
- Free academic institution help. Thinking of applying to University? Our University team can help you with your application through one of our partnered Universities or help you to apply to somewhere else in the country.
- Free social talks from teachers and outside guests. This includes cultural talks, historical talks and lessons on British social culture.
- Free placement test. Making sure you are placed at the correct level for your abillity.
Courses from intermediate level or above can be taken with or without IELTS lessons. If a student wants to include IELTS classes then these will be on a Monday from 9.00am to 2:40pm and on a Friday from 9.00am to 1:10 pm
We can also provide Women-Only courses for people who may need these specialist course.
Please note that these are the taught hours, all students are expected to research outside of class for 10 hours per week.

We use these text books alongside teachers own materials and we also use modern equipment such as DVDs, TVs, Computers and projectors. Students will be given homework reguarly to improve their English Skills.

IELTS/Academic English Courses
IELTS exam preparation classes (can be taken by anyone at intermediate level or higher) Monday 9.00am to 2.40 pm and Friday 9.00am to 1.10pm. Contact us for more information about this course.
We have experienced IELTS teachers who can guide you through the IELTS test using textbooks, outside resources and techniques for passing the test. The teachers use actual exam past papers, so you can use real world exam papers.
We can also offer you Academic English courses where we help you with your writing or academic reading.
One to One English courses
We also offer one to one courses, here we can make a course that suits you. This can be on one of the skills such as reading, writing, listening or speaking. Or on a particular grammar or vocabulary point. IELTS classes can also be delivered one to one if required.
