STUDENT PROFILE

This programme is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of principles and practice of Child care and who are seeking to work in the sectors of childminding, nannying, babysitting and related occupations. The programme covers not only the care of children but also providing for children's development and learning needs through to age 11.

• 4.2 supporting transitions
• 4.3 multi-agency working
• 4.4 managing the child-care setting Unit

Unit 5 Promoting learning within early education frameworks

• 5.2 early education frameworks
• 5.3 purpose and role of learning and development of young people

ASSESSMENT

This course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments.

ACCREDITATION

This course is validated by OCNNWR and provides 15 credits. These can be accumulated with other course or unit credits over a period of time which can lead to an accredited qualification.

The course is provided by Study House which is a recognised centre for courses validated by OCNNWR.
